Located in the heart of Phuket Island's Old Town, The Dispensary Store occupies a historic building known for its captivating Sino-Portuguese architecture, complete with arched windows and intricate decorative details. Our design concept preserves the original structure while revitalizing it with the brand's signature color, blending new life with old architecture.
We transformed part of the original indoor area into a semi-outdoor central courtyard with a double-height atrium, adding green elements such as potted plants and free-standing furniture for waiting customers. Gradient-painted side walls add depth, and classic ceiling beams maintain architectural consistency.
The left-wing houses The Dispensary, accessed through an arched glass door. Inside, a long bar counter displays products, incorporating old Chinese-Portuguese wooden cabinet details stained in a contrasting shade of the brand color. The front area features a glass partition with seating for browsing customers, and the interior walls have large shelves for merchandise display.
The right-wing is designed for rental space or event hosting. The front of the building retains its historic charm, with the lower half painted white and the upper half in the brand color to attract attention. This careful blend of preservation and modernization ensures the store stands out while respecting its architectural heritage.
